![]() House Finches (male is red). They often dominate the feeder, as they can break the sunflower seed shells with their beaks and don't have to laboriously carry them one at a time to a branch to crack by pounding (like the chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, and downies do). So they sit on the perches and leisurely snack.
