Central Committee Minutes

Minutes of the Central Committee of the Libertarian Party
of Maryland -- Saturday, 21 November 2009

Opening: The Libertarian State Central Committee of Maryland met at Robert Glaser's home in Owings Mills, Maryland. Treasurer's reports for periods ending 3/7/2009 and 8/21/2009 were distributed. The meeting was called to order at 2:39 pm by chairman Bob Johnston.

Attendance: 8 Central Committee members were in attendance for the meeting, plus 1 proxy was represented. The Central Committee rolls consist of 34 members.

Treasurer's Reports: were accepted as submitted.

Nominations of Candidates for Statewide Office: Susan Gaztaņaga was nominated for Governor. She spoke: her main issues will revolve around the economy (basic libertarian policies, deficit, regulations inhibiting business creation, high taxes, cuts from budget for activities the state should not be involved in, stimulus money only to infrastructure). Doug McNeil was nominated for Lt. Governor. He said: he works well with Susan; is well-known and respected by Greens; is a leader in the antiwar movement; active in gun rights, TrueVoteMd. It was agreed to nominate the two offices as a slate. The ticket was approved unanimously.

Adjournment: the Central Committee meeting adjourned at 3:40 pm.
